The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame presents Jammin’ for Jama, a benefit concert for musician and beloved music educator Jama Moore.

Guest artists for Jammin’ for Jama include Steve Wilkerson, Andrea Baker, Stephanie Oliver, Annie Ellicott, Olivia Duhon, Pam Van Dyke Crosby, and a host of other friends. MOJO – the Modern Oklahoma Jazz Orchestra – will perform under the direction of Dr. Michael Moore.  Music legend Leon Rollerson will also take the stage with his band, including Victoria Ellington and Homer Johnson.

Mike and Jama Moore are well known musicians and music educators based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After retiring from Tulsa Public Schools, both have experienced health problems. At M.D. Anderson in Houston recently, Jama was diagnosed with brain cancer. The Moores will be returning to M.D. Anderson for surgery and therapy beginning February 14th, 2018. This benefit concert will assist with living and medical expenses while undergoing treatment both in Houston and in Tulsa. Please give what you can.
