Apr 01, 2014 - TPS Metro Jazz Honor Band Tonight at the Jazz Depot

TULSA, Oklahoma - Not every kid wants to grow up to be the next Justin Beiber or Taylor Swift. Some Tulsa students would rather follow in the footsteps of Miles Davis or Ella Fitzgerald.

The Tulsa Public Schools Metro Jazz Honor Band performs tonight at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame.

The students have quite a reputation.

"These students are the best of the best,” said Jason McIntosh, Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame CEO.  “There will be exceptional talent showcased tonight at the Jazz Depot.”

Tulsa Public Schools students audition for spots in the high school and middle school jazz bands each year.
